Why didn't I receive any emails about my order?

All BooksRun email notifications — including order confirmations, shipping details, buyback updates, and newsletters — are sent from [email protected] to the email address you provided at checkout.

If you have found the confirmation letter sent from BooksRun [email protected], navigate to the blue button "View Order Details" and click on it. This way, you will be redirected to your order details information.

If you're not seeing these emails in your inbox, there are a few common reasons and simple steps you can take to resolve the issue.

1. Check Your Email Folders

Your email provider may have automatically sorted BooksRun messages into another folder. Be sure to look in:

  • Spam

  • Junk

  • Promotions (especially in Gmail)

  • Social (in Gmail tabs)

Note: Emails sent to .edu addresses are especially prone to being filtered to the Spam folder due to stricter security settings for school email servers.

2. Verify Your Email Address

Make sure the email entered during checkout is correct:

  • Log into your BooksRun account

  • Confirm your contact email is spelled correctly

Different email used during checkout

Check that inbox instead

No confirmation email received

Update to a new email

3. Add BooksRun to Your Safe Senders List

To prevent future emails from being filtered, add [email protected] to your:

  • Email contacts

  • Approved senders list

  • Whitelist (if applicable)

This helps your email provider recognize BooksRun messages as safe and deliver them directly to your inbox.

4. Order Number Can Also Be Found on a Shipping Label

Locate the shipping label and find the sign "ORDER #…".
