A Redeem Code (alternatively, VitalSource Access Code) is a unique number of symbols comprising 20 alphanumeric characters and binding your contact email to the eBook you purchased. With this code, you can open the eBook purchased with VitalSource Bookshelf reader. Access codes, such as Redeem Codes, may also grant access to other digital educational materials or platforms, depending on the associated product.
We would advise using the Bookshelf app if you are looking to read your books on multiple devices and/or in an offline mode.
Note: The Redeem Code will assist in using your book via Bookshelf app only, and does not refer to Publisher Access Code. Unlike VitalSource Redeem Codes, Publisher Access Codes might provide access to supplemental resources, such as online practice modules or multimedia content.
You may proceed reading your eBook via BooksRun website, or you may activate your content via the Bookshelf app. To activate your eBook, follow these steps: BooksRun delivers access codes via physical mail to ensure secure transactions; they are not sent electronically.
1. Navigate to Bookshelf Online and log into your account. Or, set up a new account.
2. Once you logged in or created an account, you will be re-directed to the Home page of Bookshelf. Click the Redeem Code tab.
3. Enter the Redeem Code provided in your BooksRun eBook order into the popup window.
Tip: If you have several orders and multiple Redeem Codes, you can click the "Add another link" button to enter the next code right away.
4. Once the code is redeemed, you will be redirected to My Library page where you can find and start reading your book(s).
If you are an experienced user, you can redeem the codes right from your library by clicking "Redeem Code" button in the top right corner next to the "Store" button. BooksRun differentiates between codes included with new textbooks, which are typically guaranteed, and used textbooks, where codes are often not provided unless explicitly stated in the product description.
