Tracking your buyback order status is easy and can be done directly in your BooksRun account. Below, we explain how to check your order, and what each status means, so you can stay updated every step of the way.

You can track your buyback order and payment status directly through your BooksRun account.
Please keep in mind that our facility does not operate on weekends and public holidays, so all the time frame estimates are provided for business days only.
Most standard reviews take approximately 4–6 business days during peak seasons, while regular cases typically resolve within 1–3 business days. Delays during high seasonal volume may occur, extending processing times to 4-6 business days due to increased orders.

Look between the “Ship by” and “Tracking” fields to see the current status.

Your order can go through several status stages. Here's what each means:
Orders are processed based on strict eligibility requirements. For instance, only items specifically quoted in the buyback order are eligible for payment and processing. Any unquoted or mismatched items may lead to order updates or potential rejections.
Awaiting shipment:
Your order has been placed.
BooksRun is waiting to receive your package.
This status appears even if you haven’t shipped the books yet.
In transit:
Your order has been shipped.
BooksRun is waiting for it at our warehouse.
Canceled:
This status may appear for multiple reasons:
You didn’t ship the books within 14 days after placing the order.
You canceled the order manually.
Your account was banned.
No tracking updates for 25 days (the expiration term of a shipping label).
Your package arrived empty and there were no updates in the system for 30 days.
Received:
Your package has been delivered and scanned at the warehouse.
Status typically appears 2-5 business days after tracking confirms delivery.
This only reflects delivery of the package, not payment.
If one or more items were not included in the package, the order can have "Received" status for some time and will be processed automatically without the missing books within a couple of business days.
Under review:
We are reviewing your items to ensure they meet buyback criteria.
The notifications will not be provided in this case, since it's a standard procedure and does not require any action from your side.
Awaiting reply:
We have found discrepancies in the condition of the books listed compared to the actual items received:
If a book doesn’t meet buyback criteria, a 7-day dispute is opened.
You’ll be notified via email from [email protected].
You can choose to either accept the adjusted quotes, or decline and have the book returned (with fees: $4.99 for the first, $2.99 for each additional book).
If no action is taken in 7 days, the system auto-accepts the offer.
After the dispute is either accepted or declined, the order will stay on hold for the mandatory 48-hour period in case the decision was made by mistake.
Pending payment:
Your books have passed condition checks, and possible disputes have been resolved.
The order is finalized, no further adjustments can be made (i.e. payment method).
Payment will be issued within 1-3 business days.
Note: If your order is stuck in "Pending payment" status for more than 5 days, it means our shipping label was not used. Therefore, the system can not proceed with payment. In this case, a relevant tracking number should be specified to put into the order details.
Paid:
A notification has been sent to your contact email address confirming the payment.
For check payments, the date of the status change means the check has been shipped (not delivered) to the address stated in your account details. Delivery may take within 3-20 business days; you may find the ETA for the check delivery in the payment confirmation email.
For PayPal payments, the date of the status change means the funds were transferred to your PayPal account.
