Yes, BooksRun offers insurance coverage for all buyback orders under $300. The insurance covers only the buyback orders which are lost in transit, and the tracking information on the mail carrier's website still indicates the shipment in progress. Packages that are marked as "Delivered" by the mail carrier are not compensated for, even if received without contents.
When and How to Add Insurance:
Option 1: During Order Placement
During the checkout, you will be able to choose the mail carrier for the shipment, and below the shipping options, you can insure your package.
Check the box next to the message:
"I want to protect my buyback order..."The insurance price will be displayed nearby for your review.
Insurance is now active on your order.

Option 2: After Order Placement
If you forgot to insure your order when placing it:
Log into your account and go to your buyback order.
Scroll to the shipping instructions section.
Click the green button labeled:
"Buy insurance for..."The insurance price will be displayed nearby for your review.
Confirm to add protection to your shipment.

In case your order is insured, BooksRun will cover the cost of the buyback if it is lost in transit.
The option to add insurance will not be available once your package is accepted by the mail carrier.
You Can Remove Your Insurance
In case you change your mind regarding the insurance for your order, you may remove it manually in your order details until the order is marked as "Shipped". Once the order is marked as such and there are tracking updates, the insurance can no longer be removed.
To remove the insurance, press the blue button "Edit" under the "Shipping instructions" field and then proceed with the "Cancel insurance protection" option.
