Working with dogs regularly, this book (all three volumes) is invaluable for someone serious about understanding canine behavior. The scope and volume of information is not for the faint of heart. I would recommend this as a next level resource that you will continue to find useful knowledge in years after your purchase.
Mr. Lindsay goes through development, behavior, training biology, neurobiology with references for his information.
While this book is older, it gives plenty of starting points/researcher
