I took a class with this book. I think it was very detailed about the different methods and processes of generating data. I learned a lot and if you do not know how to do it, you can look it up online because not all steps are for Windows. In the book it references using a Macbook. I would also advise you have a statistics calculator and graph.
They start out with the basics of statistics. What you learn in the beginning of the chapter, you will build on it later. So really understand what the beginning chapters show you. Later on it gets more difficult and you add onto what you learned in the prior chapters.
The book is very organized and easy to read. There are a couple of vocabulary words you will look up in the examples if you are not familiar with the vocab they use.
I think if you have a MacBook, it would make it easier because it shows how to do those functions. If you own windows, the way you generate the data is a little different. Most of all, you are self-teaching yourself. If you do not know how to do certain functions, I used YouTube to teach me how. I love this book though, you will definitely be using some of these functions to generate your own data.
