I needed this book for a class I'm taking. The version I have is not completely up to date, because it came out when Windows 10 still hadn't come out. But the main concepts are still applicable. It's very densely packed with good info. I guess it should be, since it was written by someone who came up with their own operating system. As a computer science major, it really helps me to understand the purpose and use of the operating system with the user and with hardware.

It's well organized by someone who I imagine is very meticulous.

I don't really have anything I dislike except that it's a little out of date for now. I've only read one chapter on my own so far.
